This e-course aims to train professionals working in formal (e.g. prisons, probation, police) and informal (e.g. in the community) criminal justice settings on how to prevent violent radicalisation. The ecourse focuses on developing professionals’ skills, knowledge and confidence in using restorative justice, trauma-informed practice and dialogue-based approaches when working with individuals who are at risk of being involved or exposed to violent radicalisation. It also aims to build the capacities across-sectors for better cross-agency cooperation in the fight against extremism. This e-course if provided as part of the Erasmus+ funded project “Restorative Dialogue Against Violent Radicalisation”.

The e-course has six modules leading to its learning outcomes. It has been prepared by the Erasmus+ Strategic Partnership comprising of the coordinator, the RJ4All International Institute (UK), and partners: Tuzla Halk Eğitimi Merkezi (Turkey), Sinergia s.c.s (Italy), CASA ESLAVA (Spain), Bosev (Turkey), CPIP (Romania), I&F (Ireland). The course convener is Prof. Theo Gavrielides.
Certification, Accessibility and supporting material
Successful completion will lead to CPD (Continuous Professional Development) Certification (18 points). The e-course can be paused as many times as needed. It takes approximately 12 non-stop hours to fully complete all modules and take the CPD test. Additional reading materials are also provided for optional further learning and research.
The e-course includes software that make it accessible in various languages as well as for those with visual and hearing impairments. This course interactive tools are based on H5P. To learn more; overview of the accessibility of the various H5P content types.
