Introduction to the e-course
This CPD e-course is designed to empower the professionals with the tools and resources to foster creativity in their classrooms and school. The course also delivers knowledge how to implement creativity into feature lesson plans, learning routines, assessments and instructional tools.
The increasing interest in creative education is due to the need for more critical thinkers in business science, politics and every subject to be able to solve complex problems project suggests a need for a continuous professional development of teachers to cultivate creativity. The knowledge in this field is either too general, too expensive, theoretical rather practical or uncritical resulting in creativity misconception. Restoring power project will address these problems and share this e-course with teaching situations, cases, assessments, lesson plan guidelines etc.
This ecourse was developed in the framework of the Nurturing Creativity in Education: Restoring Power programme, funded by the European Commission’s Erasmus+. The project is delivered by
RJ4All International Institute (UK), Prios Kompetanse AS (Norway), PIXEL – ASSOCIAZIONE CULTURALE (Italy), Genista (Malta), Sultangazi (Turkey), I&F (Ireland ). It is in line with the ET 2020 policy objective of “Promoting equity, social cohesion and active citizenship”. The course convener is Prof. Theo Gavrielides.
Certification, Accessibility and supporting material
Successful completion will lead to CPD (Continuous Professional Development) Certification (15 points). It takes approximately 20 non-stop hours to fully complete all modules and take the test. There are further reading material that are recommended for additional learning. These could add a further 15 hours of non-stop duration.
The e-course includes software that make it accessible in various languages as well as for those with visual and hearing impairments. This course interactive tools are based on H5P. To learn more; overview of the accessibility of the various H5P content types.
